6th Attempt - Headshot #4 - large scan
Colouring the Paoz-esque Drawing

I took the large scan I did with the #4 headshot which did not reflect the true quality of the drawing and decided to try my hand at colouring in Photoshop for the first time. I was not waiting for the Wacom tablet to attempt this.

I began by defining large sections with the Magnet Lasso and Polygonal Lasso tools and coloured them by using Fill and the Gradient tool. I made my own gradients for the hair and background. Then I went in and added the details a bit at a time using the Pencil, Brush and Airbrush. I took away some sections with the Eraser to bring some of underlying layers into view.

I used quite a few layers on this one to insure I had control over the different bits and pieces like the eyes and hair sections.

I like how the background gradient came through in parts of the colouring to add some definition.

I saved my various skintones in the swatches so I could reference them later. I also turned off the Web Safe Colors in the Color Picker, something I have not done in a long while.

My Wacom tablet has been ordered!!!
