Vejiita and Buruma

Pencil sketch using a drawing from one of the Manga Pose Resource books as a general reference.
Of course, the reference drawing does not look like this drawing.
Actually, the drawings in these books are not the best examples of good artwork,
but they are good basic books. I think a person has to already know how to draw,
at least have basic drawing skills, to utilize these books effectively.
You have to know how to 'fix' the mistakes shown in the source art in your own drawings.

Had to find a profile drawing of Buruma in one of my djs to reference how to draw her eyes
so this chara would look like who it was supposed to be.

After scanning I removed some spots using Photoshop.
Compressing the image to gif format caused some loss of detail, as usual.
I really love Vejiita's tail shading and definition in this one.

Addendum: While colouring this image I discovered Vejiita had two clavicles,
so I re-drew the section, re-scanned it it and this is the re-post.
