Bejiita
and Mirai Sage
|
| *looks down at chibi-filled lap and smiles* Hey, sweetie! Come to look at what I have been up to today? I did not even get on the computer until tonight because I was drawing on this all day long. I sure had fun! *gives Sage small squeeze with right hand since left hand holds a pencil and left wrist has a very soft tail wrapped around it* Well, Mummy Talon's story with Mirai Sage got me inspired to draw a scene from it. *Angles drawing pad so Sage can look at the paper easier* See, this is the kawaii snuggle scene at the end of the Room of Space and Time sequence. There's Mirai Sage snuggled into Vejiita. They look happy and contented for a change, don't they? I really enjoyed drawing the hair and tail fur, as usual. Did a lot of stump work on them to get the various pencil layers. The muscles were a problem to begin with so I referenced a couple of doujin to help me. *points to myriad stacks of doujin and how-to-draw-manga books* It's not like I don't have beaucoup reference materials... Mirai Sage's upper arm is too long in this pic, but I am not going to change it. That hand took hours and hours to get just right. This time I found it easier for me to restrain myself from shading the chara bodies in preparation for the computer airbrushing. Maybe it's because of the clean muscle lines. I just don't know for sure why I was able to curb the inclination. *shrugs* Do you like my favorite place to draw, Sage? I enjoy drawing in bed, it's comfy. Oh, you like all the pillows and quilts and such? Sure, you can snuggle in with me! *pillows, comforters, blankets and sheets fly about as chibi settles in* You are just trying to be kawaii so I will draw YOU, aren't you, Sage? *chibi sports cheeky grin and raised eyebrow, then points to drawing* Right there? Yep, those are penises and no, I didn't ask either one of them to drop their pants for me to draw from life. I am just guessing. I know, I know, but I like the look of circumcised heads. *chibi eyes coloured drawing on computer* I am a bit annoyed because the airbrush colouring I did in the Photoshop file is actually darker and when I save for web the whole pic lightens up. The colouring still works okay, huh? Did you notice the "screentone" on the sheet? I made it myself with clipart. I finally made a successful one! I used various hourglass and clock graphics, changed to greyscale, shrunk them down tiny, put them on a 300 x 300 pixels canvas then shrunk the canvas down to about 100 x 100 pixels and started dragging bits of it over to the destination canvas on their own layers so I could erase around the pillow and such. It was fun. *chibi nose sniffs the air* Yummy, that scent is rat making us chili dogs with cheese. *gets up, pulls on teeshirt and sweatpants* Shall go to the kitchen and get under his feet? *chibi takes offered hand & both pad toward the kitchen* Now remember, when we get there, we start meowing like cats wanting to be fed... |
