Yuki Eiri and Shindou Shuichi

I kept wanting to put tails on the boys since it was such a habit with my DBZ work. So I finally broke down and decided to get it out of my system by making them Saiyajin.

I referenced my action figures for Saiyajin armour and muscles. Nappa and Vejiita were elected. I carried them around with me along with the sketchpad. I thought having two different armour styles would be appropriate and the boys would definitely wear different coloured armour. Imagine Shiyuuichi's as a dark magenta with white trim and stomach inset and Eiri's as white with deep yellow ochre shoulder, hip and stomach insets. I may cg colour this image one of these days.

I kept the boys hair styles and colours pretty much intact but made the hair longer and a little shaggier for a more Saiyajin flavour.

It was fun giving both facial expressions a more dangerous glint to them, especially Shuichi. Had to reference his eyes for the general shape but the rest is all mine. Eiri is already dangerous and could easily fit into the DBZ universe as a Saiyajin, even with the blond hair. Eiri is so snarly here his eyes are crossing slightly with his rage.

Of course, I finally got a chance to give the boys tails. With all the glaring and tense muscles I thought the twining tails would be a soft touch. Shu's tail is a little more scraggly, of course, which is in character.

I suspect they are holding hands and we just cannot see it because it is happening behind Shu's back.
