The pink fluffball annoys his grumpy lover. This was a screentones and clothes exercise.

This is another drawing where no resource images were used to draw from- this came directly from the muse.

This pic drove me bonkers for about two months.

Originally I had wanted S's hands to be resting on top of E's head, with S's chin resting on top of the hands. I drew and re-drew the hands and arms so many times I lost count. I finally decided to let them lightly wrap around E's neck. E would be irritated at S no matter what S would be doing as it is.

E came out pretty well, though his eyes are larger than canon. I like the slightly annoyed and irritated, yet slightly nervous look I was able to get.

I was not too pleased with how S's eyes came out, but these were closer to the actual S eye shape than I had really gotten before, without looking at anything.

And, of course, S's hair fought me tooth and nail. In the initial sketch he had too much hair on top of his head. I had to 'cut off' a lot of hair off the top to get it to look like the chara's hairstyle.

After finishing this up, I scanned it and decided to add screentones to the shirts. E's shirt was textured with a built-in Photoshop pattern. S's shirt was textured with a Japanese screentone scanned in and made into a pattern. It was added to the shirt then the selection was inverted to get the dark on light. The sleeve edges were done with the same screentone without the inverse.

Another Photoshop pattern was used for the border and the edge of the actual drawing was stroked with black.
