Eiri and Shuichi
Inspired by the fic "First Line"

One of the first fics I read in the Gravitation fandom was eidelon tree's excellent tale, "First Line". I found it quite wonderful in its visuals and characterizations of E & S. Eiri's thought processes were complex when it came to how he was feeling about Shu, yet still driven by his horniness. This story is her vision of what happened after the anime cut away and I now see this as 'canon' as well, even in the manga now.

It is one of the stories I still love, one I repeatedly re-read. You can read it at eidelon tree's site, contrary perfection. Check out the other E&S fics too. They all relate very well.

About a year later, I found this picture coming to life under my pencil and immediately "First Line" came to mind. S looks a little nervous and E looks like he is getting ready to pounce on S's neck, much like a lion.

This was actually drawn on a small sketch pad and the larger version is much larger than the original drawing.

Seven months after sketching and scanning this image, I finally decided to computer enhance it.

I added some fabric wrinkles, shadows and a pattern to the sheets. I think it adds to the framing of the charas.
