This one came about because someone on one of the Gravi mail lists (ml) asked for a fan artist for a particular scene in one of her fic chapters. Without reading the chapter (it had not been posted yet), I declined because I had too much to do.

Then she posted the fic section at the ml so the artists would have an idea what she was wanting. I read it and I was a goner... It was a snuggle image, and by looking at my other work you will notice I really enjoy drawing snuggle pictures.

This excellent fic is called "Things Happen", by Jill, and you can find read it at the Gravitation fiction archive, gurabiteshiyon.net.

I forced myself to stick to an F pencil throughout as an experiment for this one. Decided to leave the edges of the drawing blank to allow the viewer to be lead to the middle of the page.

I am especially pleased with the hair and facial expressions. By the way, that little 'something' on Shu's chest, under Eiri's mouth is drool. Read the story and you will understand.

When I scanned the drawing I bumped up the contrast a little. Then I just cleaned it up a little, added the fic label and the usual protection bits and it was done.

I might consider making a colour version one of these years, but don't look for it anytime soon.
