The DBZ fanfic writer Talon came up with the original character Sage for her multi-part alternate universe (a/u) story, Birth of a Prince. In this a/u story, Sage is the second son of Vejiita and Buruma and Bura was never born. Sage is actually the chara's nickname, his actual name is Vejiita and he looks almost exactly like his father, except his black hair has dark blue highlights and his black tail has electric blue highlights.
